1IWCF WELL INTERVENTION; Level 2,3,4

Duration: 5 days Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

The course addresses the basic principles of well control and pressure control equipment during well completions, intervention and servicing operations. Well Intervention Pressure Control (WIPC) courses are fully accredited programs designed in conjunction with the International Well Control Forum (IWCF) requirements.

Note: First time delegates may be required to complete Level 2 before proceeding to Level 3 or 4 Targeted Delegates Level 3 – Intervention Equipment Operators/ Specialist Level 4 – Completion and Well Intervention Supervisors/Engineers/Management

Maximum of 12 Students per sessions. Trainers dedicated to the learning outcomes. Extra tutorial and extra expert hands to assist delegates (if needed). Well equipped, Convenient training facility.

Students are able to choose from one to three of the following equipment options: Wireline Operations, Coiled Tubing, Snubbing

2IADC; Level Introductory & Supervisory

Duration: 4 days Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm

This course is designed to meet the requirements of the accrediting body IADC for Introductory Level well control certification.

Accredited by IADC, our smart partnership company offers a full line of well control and Well intervention (Workover & Completion / Coil Tubing /Snubbing / Wireline Surface Stack) courses developed with a focus on adult-learning principles complemented with real-world case histories and simulations that continuously challenge learners.

3Coiled Tubing Intervention

The course is designed for, (but not limited to) Production Technologist, Petroleum, Reservoir, Well interventions, Drilling, Completion, Workover Engineers, Production Engineers, and individuals that interested with wells engineering design, workovers, well interventions, and production scopework. This course will assume that participants have at least a basic knowledge on petroleum, basic intervention & Coil Tubing brief function in order to fully appreciate the course

By end of the 4 days course, attendee will acquire;
Plan effective CTU operation by utilizing technical techniques and usage of equipment during execution and plan the operation. Improve effectiveness of Coil Tubing operations via accurate identification of the problems causing an over budget, NPT or fishing job. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Coil Tubing during multiple operations by learning how to use all equipment in correct techniques. Added value include combining the cost effective new technology that can help client with technical budgeting.

4Slickline Routine & Braided Line Fishing Operations (Advance Level)

The course is designed for, (but not limited to) to Slickline Supervisors, Slickliner Executives & Management level, Production Technologist, Petroleum, Reservoir, well interventions, Completion, Workover Engineers, Production Engineers, and those individuals that are involved with wells engineering design, workovers, well interventions, and production scope work. This course will assume that participants have at least a 3 years involvement and knowledge on completion item & slickline scope in order to fully appreciate the course.

By end of the 4 days course, attendee will acquire;
Confidently improve the effectiveness, challenge of slickline and braided line operations after go thru a lot case studies in detail Learn important of toolstring configurations and technique sharing from expertise (hands on during the 4th day) Plan effective Braided Line operation by understanding the techniques of the equipment and use of each mechanism/ part/ equipment.

5Perforation Technologies & Operations

The course is designed for, (but not limited to) Production Technologist, Petroleum, Reservoir, well interventions, Completion, Workover Engineers, Production Engineers, and individuals that interested with well perforation, EOR and production scopework. This course will assume that participants have at least a basic knowledge on petroleum, reservoir, basic wireline & TCP in order to fully appreciate the course.

By end of the 3 days course, attendee will acquire;
Knowing in depth of what industry offer on type of guns, explosive, detonator, shape charges Optimizing reserves with selecting the best Perforation type Added value include combining the latest/ new technology that help end user on technical selecting vs risk assessment Effective Perforation, Punch, cut tubing operation by utilizing technical techniques and usage of equipment during execution and planning stages.

6Plug & Abandonment Plan & Execution

The course is designed for (but not limited to) Petroleum, Reservoir, Well Interventions, Completion, Workover, Production Engineers, Production Technologist, and individuals that interested with wells plug & abandonment engineering design scopework. This course will assume that participants have at least a basic petroleum and completions knowledge.

By end of the 3 days course, attendee will acquire;
Improve efficiency of Rigless P&A during multiple operations by learning how to optimize equipment techniques following industrial standard Added significant value with various 20 case studies combining multiple method & approach. Lesson learn & case studies from international & regional latest project P&A on paper group project

7Slickline Routine & Non Routine Operations (Intermediate Level)

The course is designed for, (but not limited to) Production Technologist, Petroleum, Reservoir, Well interventions, Completion, Workover Engineers, Production Engineers, and individuals that interested with wells engineering design, workovers, well interventions, and production scopework. This course will assume that participants have at least a basic knowledge on well completions & slickline intervention in order to fully appreciate the course.

By end of the 4 days course, attendee will acquire;
Plan effective job program and operation by understanding techniques of each equipment and use of equipment before the operation works. Improve effectiveness of slickline operations via accurate identification of the problem causing a fishing job. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of braided line fishing during the operation by learning how to use braided line equipment in a correct techniques Improve the effectiveness of slickline and braided line fishing operations by learning the new technology for surface units for fishing and new technology for downhole tools

8Well Completions Integrity Awareness

Well constructions, Data collection and well completions :
The basic data requirements for determining the economic viability of a well and the changes in production over the life cycle of the well leads on to a discussion about completions equipment. The key elements of the upper completion (safety valves, gas lift) and lower completion (sand control, inflow control and isolation) are reviewed. Reference will be made to Interwell products and services to provide context.

Well integrity :
Understanding well integrity over the life cycle is becoming increasingly important. This section reviews the principles of well integrity with an emphasis on well leak paths and remediation methods. The life of a well various events can occur that reduce or even prevent production. Issues around scale and waxes, sand build up and lowering pressure are explained and described.The deployment of tools into and out of the well under pressure is a key element of the course and a detailed description of well control equipment during wireline, coiled tubing and snubbing are provided. Given the increase in number of subsea wells and the potential for lost production due to the cost of well intervention this section discussed the options for well servicing of subsea wells.

9Snubbing Operations

The course is designed for (but not limited to) multiple solutions in Workover, Plug and Abandonment, well killing, cement squeeze and Heavy duty fishing principle. Engineers and Supervisors from Well Interventions, Completion, Workover , Production Technologies Engineers plus consultant and related personal. This course will assume that participants have at least a basic knowledge on offshore facilities, well completions in order to fully appreciate the course.

By end of the 4 days course, attendee will acquire;
Detail understanding on each Snubbing component, Improve effectiveness of all operations related to selection,maintenance & risk assessment of Snubbing compared to Hydraulic Workover.

10Cased Hole Logging Training and Interpretation

Modules we offer are listed below;

Production Logging Interpretation; PLT Intermediate & Advance

Cement Bond Logging
Teaches the basics of Cement Bond and Variable Density logging, limitations and applications.

Well Integrity Logging
Principle of different well integrity logging tools, their application and limitations.

Caliper (MIT) Advance Interpretation
The course discusses measurement-to-interpretation techniques used by various players and thus offers an insight into their effectiveness in conditions of increasing wellbore and formation complexities. The user will gain a better understanding of why tools from different service companies, often recording similar raw data in near-identical conditions, may differ significantly in their predictions. The course will help users of the technology make targeted tool choices, plan logging jobs better, and perform in-house interpretation if needed.

11EOR; Gas lift, ESP & Gas Gun Application

Delegates will investigate the impact of tubing sizing, gas lift valve selection, gas lift mandrel spacing, gas lift valve design, casing pressure, surface choke size, gas volume, etc., on well design and operation. Participants practice mandrel spacing design and gas lift valve design, surveillance, and optimization at the well and field level using actual field data including the use of software programs. After attending this course, participants will be able to identify, diagnose, analyze, and solve gas lift problems. Up to date computer programs will be used/demonstrated during the course. The class includes pictures and videos of most important equipment components while being applied, to further participant understanding. With increased prices, more emphasis is placed on techniques to maximize production. New developments at various stages of development and application will also covered.
